Frequently Asked Questions
As global innovators and manufacturers, we are responsible for taking steps beyond the regulations. We’ve combined some frequently asked questions, helping you understand the ‘what’ and ‘why’ in our campaign.
What is Fifty for 50?
To achieve great things, we need a plan. It is our target to deliver fifty tangible changes between now and 2026, making us a more sustainable organisation. Fifty for 50 gives us a vehicle for the next chapter in sustainability, ultimately raising the bar higher in what we do.
Why limit to 50 goals?
Fifty is actually our minimum! Changing the world seems daunting, so we challenged an ambitious but achievable target of fifty changes. Our journey doesn't end here: we are working to embed a sustainable philosophy in mindsets and activities throughout our organisation.
Is this just for marketing?
No, but marketing is great! We intentionally gave it a catchy name for everyone in the organisation to connect with. The more awareness, the better; this drives the shift globally. We aim to make the journey to 2026 and beyond a transparent journal for people to learn and feel inspired. Our departments will contribute a real change, no matter how big or small.
Why is sustainability important?
We have one planet - environmental degradation is apparent. To secure a healthy and prosperous future for both present and future generations, we must reap the benefits of our actions. SBFI Group additionally understands that sustainability branches to the well-being of the end-user: we put ergonomics and materials at the forefront of what we do, resulting in better, healthier working environments.
What are some specific actions you've taken so far?
Our 'Sustainable Practices' page is full of those! As an idea, we have a design philosophy focussing on products that last, including modularity for adaptable needs. Additionally, we create solutions for upcycling products at the end of life. Wasted energy to service these models is utilised as local energy.
